Well, if you read my earlier posts you’d know that I am not all that active of a gamer, so I hardly care if the latest n greatest games come out first for PC. ‘course, you could just wait three years for those games to show up on the Mac, I guess …” Or, for that matter: BF 1942, BF Vietnam, LOTR, Halo, Beyond Divinity, NOLF2, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Rainbow Six Athena’s Sword, etc., etc. “This might seem ridiculous, but why not run UT 2004 and Q3 on your XP machine? MICROSOFT OFFICE 2011 FOR MAC DISSAPERAS MAC OS XConnecting to Mac OS X Samba shares from my PC running XP seems to be a touch quicker … // But nothing is borked, all my apps work, so coolio for me. I played a bit of UT 2004 demo, frame rate issue is still there. 10.3.3 seems really nice, Samba is improved which was probably my only concern with Panther.īy rockwell (IP: 12.24.216.-) – Posted on 20:02:00 Maybe if I bought a nice new shiny G5? □ I’ve never found myself in a situation where the games the PC users were playing weren’t available on the Mac, but then, I’m no gamer either. I stick with WarCraft III, as do most of my PC friends, or BZ-flag which is freely available for most platforms. The thing is though, that a lot of us (PC and Mac users) don’t play games that much, or if we do, the selection of games on the Mac is more than enough for the Mac user, well for me anyway. You are not the reason Mac games aren’t made, they are not made because it’s hard for gaming houses to justify the cost. Mac OS X has plenty of games, but nowhere near the number that the PC has, well, certainly not new releases anyway (it is getting better though). PC’s are better for some things, and games is definately one of them (when I say better, I mean quantity, not quality)… Wouldn’t normally respond to trolls, but you make a good point. □ Camino is god, it is /the/ browser for me. Camino is not dead! 0.8 is gearing up for release very soon the developer assures me. About last week a few releases wouldn’t even launch, they’d try and then die – but now their stable again, load just fine, and my recent nightly (a few days old) has been up for days without a crash. (0.7 would crash on some pages for me, and if I left it up for hours it would just up and die for seemingly no reason, most of the nightlies are much more stable then that, and don’t crash on those same webpages that would take down 0.7 every single time) A few releases have been unstable, but thats usually cleared up in a few days. There are lots of differences, new look, new icons, latest mozilla codebase sync (1.7 branch I believe), even faster then 0.7, and despite being nightly builds most are more stable. The nightlies have been very stable for me since around December, when I first started using them. MICROSOFT OFFICE 2011 FOR MAC DISSAPERAS CODE“Tymiles is right here…Camino hasn’t had a new release for months, and I kinda doubt that any new code has been checked in either.”įalse, despite being months since 0.7’s release there is still active work.
